First jury trial today, and first win. Whooo!! I’d quit now so I could go around bragging about being undefeated with juries (’cause it sure as hell doesn’t figure to last), but it’s just too much fun to do a trial.
I’ve always had a lot of faith in the jury system, and after today I’m glad to have that reinforced. There is simply no substitute in a free society for everyday citizens accepting responsibility for their own rights and their own safety by participating in the criminal justice system.
