What would the reaction be if a conservative had writen a super-snarky (but substance-free) hit piece on a female Democrat running on a national ticket, focusing on her go-go boots and how her life is like a bad chick-flick?
I take that back. I don’t wonder at all.
It is also worth pointing out that for liberals, McCain’s choice of a female governor for the VP spot is shameful pandering to female voters. However, if Senator Obama had chosen a female VP, it would have been lauded as “brave” and “breaking the glass ceiling.” Only liberals are motived to break ethnic and gender barriers. When conservative/republicans act similarly, it must be driven by shameful political strategy.
Yup, that’s a pretty snarky, sexist little piece. As a woman, it offends me a bit. The author is making a bunch of assumptions about Palin because she’s a woman.
I agree! It was offensive and I was proud to see her throwing some pretty heavy punches during her speech. My favorite quote, “The difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull is the lipstick.” Can’t wait to see her “sick ’em” again!
